Candidate's Weekend Two!

This weekend is the second Candidate's Weekend. It's surprising how quickly they come and go, and then you'll have to wait until the fall for our campus to get swarmed by prospective students again. There were a lot of really cool candidates at the first weekend, and I am sure the second will prove to work out just as well. Also, I hear they're going to make duct tape more expensive at Design Build, so hopefully we'll see some really spectacular failures in addition to really innovative successes. I am all about spectacular failures.

Also, be sure to come see Into the Woods. Into the Woods is playing this weekend Friday and Saturday. You should come see Into the Woods. At Sorenson Theatre at Babson, Olin's theatre group, FWOP, will be performing Into the Woods. At 8pm on Friday and Saturday FWOP will be performing Into the Woods. I hear Into the Woods will be good when performed this weekend. Don't forget about Into the Woods. Don't go anywhere without your Into the Woods. It was Jon Cass's birthday. Happy Birthday Jon! Jon, you should come see FWOP's performance of Into the Woods to celebrate.

Summer Intern Opportunity, Blank Center, Babson
Two Babson College Professors seek a gifted programmer to help study the origins and growth of the rock music industry. Can you design a system that integrates existing online data about rock artists to help us visualize the growth and development of rock? We’re looking for one - or possibly two - unique students who are passionate about rock who have impressive technical skills.  Broadly, we are looking to understand and visualize artistic innovations in the music industry (see below link). Depending on the candidate’s credentials, we might be able to arrange an independent study for this project. There are only two questions: 1) are you the best? and 2) do you love music?

Call 617.290.5294 or e-mail enoyes@babson.edu to see how you can contribute to this unique endeavor.  Meetings with individual students will start March 10 and continue through March 14.
