CORe Digest

April 14th 2006

My Fellow Students,

It is with great excitement (and a few jitters) that I release to you this week's CORe Digest, the first under my tenure as Vice President of Communication. Thankfully, Mike has been walking me through it, and has actually done most of the work this week. Thus, I am not entirely to blame.

Luckily, the Digest submission process won't change. If you would like to submit an event, the form below will continue to make submitting easy for you, and compiling the Digest easier for me. It is, as always, located at:

\\fsvs01\StudentGroups\CORe\Communication\COReDigest\Forms\Digest-Item.xsn

If you have any questions, concerns, comments, praises, or problems with the Digest layout or content, please feel free to send me an email (or stop me on campus) to let me know. This is your Digest!

Christopher Dellin

Your Vice President of Communication

P.S. If you figure a phrase which is an anagram for "Ha! Server Anti-Digest" which includes the name of a member of the Class of 2008, let me know, and you'll win a prize. The phrase is *always* true.

Learn Hindi/Urdu at Wellesley
New South Asian Studies Program offers Hindi/Urdu language courses
The brand-new South Asian Studies Program at Wellesley will be offering introductory Hindi/Urdu for the first time next year. Professor Shukla-Bhatt is hoping some Olin students will enroll. Hindi/Urdu is spoken in large parts of India and in Pakistan. Learning to speak a major South Asian language will be a great start for anyone thinking of learning more about the engineering and technology boom in India, and for those of you who just want to learn more about this part of the world. The class meets three times a week. But the professor will try to accommodate Olin students' schedules with special individual sessions if there are scheduling conflicts. See Wellesley's fall registration materials for course times/days. The course number for fall is SAS101. Interested students should contact Prof. Shukla-Bhatt at nshuklab@firstclass.wellesley.edu.
