CORe Digest
March 17th 2006
I wish you well on the arrival of two great holidays this morning: St. Patrick’s Day and the beginning of spring break. This may come as a surprise to some of you, but I’ve been operating in “spring break mode” since about Wednesday afternoon. I can only hope that many of you are having better luck in being productive these last few days so that you can relax worry free during break.
Well, last week I may have overdrawn my rambling line of credit, so I’ll part with a simple St. Patrick’s Day wish to you all:
May your neighbors respect you,
Troubles neglect you,
The angels protect you,
And Heaven accept you.

Passover - 2nd Seder at My House
2nd Seder April 13, 2006
Since Passover falls in the middle of the week I imagine there are some of you who will choose not to go home for Passover, especially if you live out of state. I hate to think of you not attending a Seder so…...
If anyone is interested in attending the 2nd Seder at my house, please contact me either by phone, extension 2409, or by e-mail.
The 2nd Seder is on Thursday, April 13th. I live in Sharon, next to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, about 35 minutes from Olin, heading towards Rhode Island.
We're a small group, I expect about 10-13 people. We have a lot of fun, we do an abbreviated Seder, and we would love to have you join us.

Register for Fall 2006 Babson Courses
Before Olin Registration
Babson and Olin have been working to improve the cross-registration opportunities for both student populations. As a result, Olin students can register after Babson's first day of registration and Babson students will be able to register for Olin courses after Olin's first day of registration. Since the two registration windows do not coincide, the following information is available for you to review prior to Olin's registration week (April 24-27). If you are interested in enrolling in a Babson course before the Olin schedule is available (April 10), complete a cross-registration form found on star.olin.edu and send it as a pdf to star.center@olin.edu. Submissions will be accepted beginning Tuesday, March 28th.
In the event your chosen Babson course ends up conflicting with your Olin schedule, you will have an opportunity to amend your schedule. Although most courses are available for registration through Babson, a highlighted listing of particular course opportunities at Babson in the fall are attached.

VP Edwards Disowned
Irish President Mary McAleese issued a brief statement just slightly before midnight on the 15th of March explaining simply that Ireland has decided to disown CORe Vice President of Campus Life, Lee Edwards. The surprise move comes just minutes before what would have likely been a lively 22nd birthday, and just over 24 hours before the annual observance of St. Patrick's Day in Ireland and much of the English-speaking world. The move shocked many conservatives amid speculation that Mr. Edwards would seek further public office in the upcoming 2006 CORe Election Non-campaign.
The statement issued by Ireland does not detail the reason or reasons for the decision to disown Mr. Edwards, but there exist unconfirmed reports linking the disownage to Mr. Edwards use of the term "the Irish Breakfast of Champions" to describe Lucky Charms in Killian's Irish Red.
Mr. Edwards has declined to comment, except to say, "Et tu Brute?"
In a more recent development, Mr. Edwards was excommunicated by Pope Benedict XVI this morning for eating corned beef on a Friday in Lent.
