CORe Officers
Executive Board
Tiana VeldwischPresident
The President's role is to serve as the official representative of CORe. Their activities include chairing the General Assembly meetings and representing the student body to the President's Council and the Board of Trustees. On a day to day basis the president meets with various people in the college to make things run smoothly, directs students to the appropriate person to contact and organizes meetings.
Tiana is a recovering hug addict and has been an R2 for the past two years as part of a 12-step program. When not hugging people, she studies BioEngineering and enjoys theatre and singing. When she grows up (older, not taller - that's a lost cause), she dreams of walking in parades in a giant fluffy cat or bear costume or opening a chocolate shop. If those don't work out, she will endeavor to run socially-responsible start-up biotech companies. She hopes you will encourage her hug habit when you see her.
Jeff MooreVice President of Student Initiatives and Ambassador to Wellesley College
The Vice President of Student Initiatives (VPSI) is in charge of committees, both internal to CORe and also for the whole Olin College community. Responsibilities include soliciting volunteers for committees and coordinating committees--basically, making sure they run smoothly and that student reps are happy, informed, and doing good functional work. This VP position has the most leeway, since almost anything falls under a "student initiative." The VPSI is also Ambassador to Wellesley College.
Anthony RoldanVice President of Campus Life and Ambassador to Babson College
The Vice President of Campus Life (VPCL) is the Chair of the Caucus of Clubs and Organizations (CCO) and works with club presidents. They also coordinates the the SAC Chair and the Residence Life Representative.
Stefan WolpertVice President of Finance and Records and Ambassador to Brandeis University
The Vice President of Finance and Records (VPFR) primarily keeps track of club line items and expenditures. She is in charge of watching the Student Activities Fee and giving people updates, as requested. The VPFR also takes down the minutes in both GA and E-Board meetings and makes sure that they are in the public domain soon after meetings take place. She is also the ambassador to Brandeis, making sure that the lines of communication are not only intact but also harmonious.
Greg MarraVice President of Communication
The Vice President of Communication (VPC) is in charge of the official correspondence of CORe. The VPC takes feedback from the student body, publishes the weekly CORe Digest, and manages the CORe website. The VPC also makes sure that CORe meetings follow the official procedures as parliamentarian. Since the VPC is the only vice president that is not an ambassador to another school, the VPC is sometimes called the "Ambassador to Olin".
